Foaling

At Byerley Stud we offer excellent facilities to accommodate permanent boarders of all ages as well as temporary seasonal boarders. 

Throughout the 250 acre land, there is exceptional grazing for horses available throughout the year. As a result, young-stock are able to develop clean limbs and decent bone.

Rest and Recuperation

Here at Byerley, our horses are turned out all year round allowing your horse to benefit fully from their break/holiday from being in training. Time off allows your horse to grow, strengthen and wind down from racing. Box-rest options are also available, as well as a mini pre-training service, such as using the walker before heading back to the trainer.

At Byerley Stud we have had great success rates with horses benefitting from a bit of time off from training and coming out to pastures here in Wiltshire, and then performing and getting the results on the racecourse.

​Our large foaling boxes are fitted with CCTV cameras, so mares due to foal are under 24hr supervision.

​There are several full time members of staff who live onsite and are employed to sit up at night during the foaling season. Our experienced foaling team provides an excellent service which gives the new born foals the best possible start to life.

Sales Preparation and Consignment

Throughout the sales preparation and consignment process, our aim is to provide an individually tailored service to each horse that goes through our care. Amongst our team of highly skilled staff, we have a wealth of experience in prepping horses for the sales.

We consign yearlings and breeding stock at all the major English sales. Each horse is prepared to the highest of standards using our superb on site facilities. Our objective is to ensure all horses reach their highest potential and subsequently the best sales price possible.
